United Van Lines is now flying forward

United Van Lines, America’s #1 Mover, recently unveiled it's new, updated paint scheme by aligning itself to a piece of Americana – the Bald Eagle.
When the Great Seal was adopted in 1782, the eagle was chosen as the emblem of the United States of America because of its long life, enduring strength, and majestic looks.
As the official symbol of sovereignty for the new, independent nation, this patriotic symbol shows a wide-spread eagle, faced front, having on his breast a shield with thirteen perpendicular red and white stripes, surmounted by a blue field with the same number of stars. In it's right talon the eagle holds an olive branch, in the left a bundle of thirteen arrows, and in it's beak carries a scroll inscribed with the motto: "E Pluribus Unum." – "Out of many, one". Or, put another way, “We're all in this thing together”.
This fresh design and logo image are being used to introduce the 'rebranded' United Van Lines LLC at the company's website at http://www.unitedvanlines.com/, in their collateral material and advertising, as part of their updated do-it-yourself container moving product, and, especially, in the two recent TV spots that were arranged by their new advertising agency, Grey New York. As the tagline implies, There's moving. And there's moving United.
Unlike it's sister company, Mayflower Transit, United Van Lines hasn't used a trademarked logo in any of their advertisements in recent history.
School kids have always recognized the symbolism of the Mayflower ship logo in our country's rich history. Now, perhaps, the bald eagle will become just as important a symbol in United's brand name recognition among America's most popular full service and self service moving companies.
Whadda ya think, Betty Malone?
