Moving etc…TV is open for business

Well she did it. Jane Finch just passed another milestone on her personal journey to create an online marketing community for those in the relocation industry in the U.K. Her newest venture – Moving etc…TV – is being introduced to the public this week.
I met Jane, a former move manger with Crown Relocations, several months ago through her work at Moving etc… Network (MeN), a venue she created through her own vision to help make changes in the British removal industry. I've been following her progress closely since our personal goals are pretty similar.
MeN was developed so interested trade association members and non-members could have an easily accessible, free online venue where they could network together anytime and learn the tips, tricks and tools of the moving business from each other. Ever since she opened the site, Jane's objective has been to create a virtual environment to help MeN members raise their individual and professional business standards within the domestic and international moving industry throughout Europe.
Membership in MeN, however, is only open to those involved in the relocation industry. By design, the moving public is not encouraged to listen in or participate in the many 'insider' conversations that regularly occur between some of MeN's 600+ registered forum members who now hail from all over the world.
Moving etc…TV is for those in search of professional relocation services. Instead of trying to explain Jane's motives for opening the consumer oriented site, however, I'll let her do it. Here a copy of the note I received about the Grand Opening.
Congratulations Jane!
A message to all members of The Moving etc… Network
I am extremely excited and proud to announce that Moving etc… TV is now Live!!
The new Moving etc… TV website has been part of my vision for Moving etc… for well over 6 years and along with the Moving etc… Network, the core foundation for Moving etc… is finally here.
It has been a very long, tiring and frustrating journey to get this far, with many things going wrong along the way. Sometimes heartbreaking. But at last I can say that I have reached a major milestone in my goals for my company and for (I hope) the moving industry as a whole.
Some of you may know me from before and some of you won't know me at all, except from connecting with me on the Moving etc… Network. My company has been marketing out trade association members now for a long time and I wanted a product that could help my customers make a bigger impact and show the public why removal companies and their staff are so good at moving people and should be paid accordingly.
Please feel free to go and have a look around the new Moving etc… TV site.
Straight away you will see that it is very similar to the Moving etc… Network but the new site is completely open to the public and therefore the search engines. Except for the email system and private groups, everything that happens on Moving etc… TV can be seen by internet users and potential customers.
Trade association members can even add their backload space and schedules so the public can find you. As well as market your company and offer your services.
Unlike the Moving etc… Network which is private to the public so you have to be a member to see posts, you can now openly add articles about moving home on ME TV and share them on Facebook and Twitter, so that your followers and connections also see your articles.
You can add links in your articles and forum posts which will add "Link Juice" and traffic to your own website and help with your Google Page Rank.
Please note however, that ONLY trade association members are allowed to join as is our marketing policy.
Every removal company does a good job. I have been on the vans myself so I know how much hard work moving can be.
But regulated movers offer the extra protection to their customers of being checked by their peers and having high standards to adhere to. Plus the added bonus of independent arbitration services if something goes wrong between you and the customer. Protecting not just them if something goes wrong, but you as well.
This is the only reason why we market regulated movers.
For more information about Moving etc… TV you can see a couple of articles I have written.
Are you ready for Moving etc… TV?
Why do I need Moving etc… TV?
Membership for trade association members costs just £25.00 per month and we will be actively promoting the site to Estate Agents, Solicitors, Mortgage Advisers and people moving home or office. If you already have a Facebook or Twitter account and don't know why you should join, please read this article here.
If you are a regulated mover and would like to join the new Moving etc… TV, please sign up on the site and I will be in touch with you shortly.
Thank you and Good Luck
Moving etc…
