RELO Roundtable…a gathering place

Received an email from a nervous reader asking if the Smart Move container service option she saw reviewed was a good idea for moving a few of her personal things from her mother's home just outside of Akron to her new job in the Silicon Valley. She's getting ready to spread her wings for the first time and is very, very scared!

Smart Moves' affiliation with Atlas World Group began in June, 2009. The new relationship allows customers who only have a few household goods items to move to select from a variety of service levels and pricing options when making their relocation plans. Working through the extensive network of hundreds of Atlas Van Line agents, thousands of van operators, and other affiliated Accel transportation resources, direct pick-up and delivery moving services can usually be arranged in less time than conventional van line options.

Since she doesn't have much to move, I suggested my young visitor should at least consider some form of the smaller mobile/portable container shipping services currently being advertised, and included a link to one of Smart Moves' newly released short videos that briefly explains the scope, breadth and benefits of their program with Atlas Van Lines at the company's new gosmartmove YouTube channel.

Smart Move from Atlas Van Lines: How Do You Start?

Containerized shipping isn't for everyone. Like anyone involved in transitional planning, however, shoppers should at least weigh the practicality and convenience of all mobile/portable container moving programs against the labor involvement and cost of other do-it-yourself and full-service relocation alternatives.
