Budd Van Lines teams up with Move for Hunger
By Eric Anders • Jul 19th, 2012 • Category: *RELOCATION NEWS UPDATES*, Budd Van LinesWhen I first wrote about Move for Hunger several years ago, the relatively new industry organization was just starting to spread it's wings.
Move For Hunger is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit that was established by Adam Lowy in August 2009.
Its goal is to strengthen the efforts of community food banks throughout the country by leveraging an existing network of specialized transportation companies and state and national moving and storage associations to create one of the largest, year-round food service programs.
What started as one young person's personal goal to help feed the hungry in New Jersey now involves concerned movers and their customer trying to fill the need all across North America.
Recently KABC-TV teamed up with the folks at the Budd Van Lines office in Chino by sending a crew to film the preparation of a customer's move from Los Angeles to Texas.
Using the Move for Hunger framework started by Adam and the national exposure provided by media outlets like KABC, the full-service moving and storage industry and their dedicated household goods relocation partners, employees, and customers have a tremendous opportunity to make a measurable impact on the fight to overcome hunger in communities all across America and Canada.
