Bekins Van Lines Announces New Recapitalization Plan

Several weeks ago the rumor mill began churning outside of Hillside, Illinois hinting that something significant was going on behind closed doors at Bekins corporate headquarters. 

Yesterday the company publicly announced that its Board of Directors has unanimously approved a plan to recapitalize the company.  Under the proposed arrangement, all current shareholders will retain an equity interest in the company and Bekins will remain "Agent Owned".  Shareholders are supposed to received the details within the next month.

    Recapitalize? All they did was milk money from the agents and run. My heart does go out to all of the Bekins employees that will no longer have jobs.
