AtlasWorldGroup Atlass Gaw appointed VP, GM SEATTLE — AWG International, Inc. announced the appointment of Jim Gaw as vice president and general manager.

AWG International, one of the affiliates of Atlas Van Lines, manages 7,000 international moves annually for corporations, government and military personnel. Gaw will be responsible for leading the development and future growth of the Seattle-based organization.

Earlier this year, Gaw introduced a new international relocation program to the Atlas family that uses single-factor pricing and a unique, customer-centric approach that demonstrates continuous improvement for clients through the use of ISO metrics and the RIM Quality program.

Gaw previously served as vice president of business development for AWG International. For the previous 12 years, he held numerous management positions with leading international van lines.

"Jim is perfectly suited to take on the responsibilities of his new position," said Jack Griffin, Atlas Van Lines and AWG International president and COO. "His significant agent and customer relationships within Atlas coupled with his understanding of the evolving international military process make him the ideal candidate to lead AWG International."

Gaw is a graduate of Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, Ill. He is a member of the International Association of Movers and former executive committee member, and serves as vice chairman of the American Moving and Storage Association's International Committee.
