	<description><![CDATA[<p>Last week Secretary of Transportation LaHood floated the idea of a <a href="http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/02/20/AR2009022003331.html">mileage-based user tax</a> user tax which the Obama administration promptly squelched.&#160;What&#8217;s important to note, however, is that Ray took a <a href="http://transportation.nationaljournal.com/2009/02/how-will-we-pay-for-the-transp.php">conversation</a> that&#8217;s already been started to the public.</p>
<p>The idea is not all that radical &#8211; especially to truckers. Some states already have small-scale, economically viable experiments in place using commercial payment options like <a href="http://www.prepass.com/">PrePass</a> and <cite><a href="http://www.ezpass.com/"><span style="font-style: normal;">EZ Pass</span></a>.</cite>&#160;</p>

	<description><![CDATA[<p class="MsoNormal">Despite the fact that the average price at the pump has fallen almost every day for the last three months, the fuel surcharge rates being charged customers aren&#8217;t tumbling as fast since the cost of diesel doesn&#8217;t drop as fast as gasoline.<span>&#160; </span>What has fallen is the amount it takes for estimators to fill up.<span>&#160; </span><span>&#160;</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Have falling gas prices affected the number of physical surveys that you or your company is performing?</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Has this drop in price encouraged salespeople to be more willing to look at smaller households?<span> </span>Are they going farther to do perform an estimate?</p>
